mwbgClang è un mwbwcompilatore per i linguaggi mwcaC, mwcqC++, mwcgObjective C ed mwcwObjective C++. mwdaFront-end di mwdqLLVM, è stato sviluppato dalla mwdgApple al fine di rimpiazzare mwdwGNU Compiler Collection (GCC), in particolare per la bassa priorità che rivestiva l'Objective C agli occhi degli sviluppatori di GCC, oltre a problemi legati alla mweaGNU General Public License.cite-ref-1[1]

Clang è disponibile sotto una licenza mwfgopen source ed è mwfwsoftware libero.cite-ref-2[2] Supporta mwhaOpenCL e mwhqCUDA.
